The Maltese Falcon
Author Dashiell Hammett's Detective Sam Spade is a cold, smart man who gets caught up in the search for a statue said to be encrusted with priceless jewels. Full of intriguing characters and dark, gritty atmosphere, this classic tale became a famous film starring Humphrey Bogart.
The Hound of the Baskervilles
